KATHRYN M. BELL, PH.D. received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Western Michigan University and is now Full Professor in the Department of Psychology at Acadia University. Her research focuses broadly on examining risk factors associated with interpersonal trauma, including intimate partner violence (IPV) and adult sexual assault. She is interested in utilizing a contextually-based framework to identify risk factors that are proximally and dynamically associated with episodes of interpersonal violence perpetration and victimization. Dr. Bell is also a registered and practicing psychologist in Nova Scotia.
